It’s always a lot of fun to photograph Olive Media’s annual summer bash. Each year the party gets crazier and this year was no exception. The theme for this year was “disco” and Olive Media spared no expense at making the evening a throwback to the disco era. The swanky Maro Supper Club was decorated in full Olive Media flavour and a lighted disco dance floor was even put in that would make Tony Manero (aka John Travolta) proud! The drinks were flowing and it was a great time! As in previous years, Olive Media asked me to set up my guest photo booth to photograph the crazy antics of their party guests. It was hilarious to photograph people decked out in full disco-era costumes and big crazy hair dos.
I asked my friends and colleagues Spencer Fu, Andy King, and Norris Films to help photograph and film this fun event for Olive Media. Here are some of our images from the memorable evening.

What an amazing year! We began 2009 with our first wedding in January and completed a successful year with our very last wedding in late-November. We have so many fond memories from all the incredible celebrations we were privileged to photograph. We shared lots of laughs and shed a few happy tears along the way. We’re sincerely humbled that so many wonderful couples chose us to share in their big day.
The 2009 wedding season took us to faraway places like the beautiful islands of the Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Turks & Caicos. Back home we got the rare opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The wedding season also took us to the top of downtown skyscrapers and into the backyards of country homes. Wherever we were, the themes were the same: love, family, and friends. Our hope was to photograph these rare moments with our artful approach, capture genuine emotions, and document one of the biggest celebrations in our couples’ lives.

We recently photographed Olive Media’s lively annual summer party. The theme for this year’s party was “Rock Star”. It definitely was a rockin’ evening for the Olive Media team and their clients. Leading up to this celebration, we even helped Olive photograph some fun rock band-style team portraits.
The big party was held at the swanky Maro Supper Club in full Olive Media flair. In keeping with their theme, we set up a photo booth of which Olive supplied makeup artists, an abundance of costumes and wigs and last but not least a sweet motorbike prop. My friend Joe Wong helped me photograph some of the details and candid images from the night. It was an awesome time.
Olive Media always knows how to throw great parties and this one was no exception. There was even a surprise birthday party for one guest.
