Recently I had the pleasure of helping my friend Joe Wong photograph Jenah & Rob’s wedding day. It was fun-filled from start to finish! At a nearby hotel, I began the day photographing the guys getting ready and then headed back to their home for some Chinese wedding door games. The groom and his boys had to complete several tasks before earning the right to see the bride. One of the more entertaining challenges involved passing fruit around without hands. It was quite the hilarious sight! Afterwards, we all headed downtown to the University of Toronto for photos. The ceremony and reception took place at the elegant Eglinton Grand. It was the perfect venue for their movie-themed wedding reception.

Kelly & Bill are one of my out-of-town couples having a wedding here in Toronto this year. They recently dropped into town to finalize some of their upcoming wedding plans and we had the opportunity to finally meet and photograph their engagement session. As I quickly found out, Kelly & Bill are both die hard hockey fans as well as players. Which would explain why they are planning to tie the knot in front of the Stanley Cup this July, at the Hockey Hall of Fame downtown. There certainly had to be a reason for them to leave California to get married in Toronto!
For their engagement session we worked with the University of Toronto campus downtown. I always love returning to the campus as it seems more beautiful than I remember when I went to school there. It also held some significance for Kelly, who’s grandfather also attended the UofT. It was fun showing them around the campus and we’re looking forward to photographing their hockey-inspired wedding this July.
