Iris + Eric Engagement

Iris & Eric Engagement

One of the really cool things we get to do when we photograph couples is to be a tourist in our own city.  When living somewhere for a long time, it’s easy to overlook the beauty that surrounds you daily.  Sometimes it’s nice to be able to open your eyes to all the lines, shapes, and beautiful light found in the most unassuming places.  Iris & Eric are an incredibly down-to-earth and relaxed couple.  We had a lot of fun exploring our city together and we’re look forward to their wedding next summer.

Andrea + Jason Wedding

Andrea & Jason Wedding

When Andrea & Jason told us about their plans for a backyard wedding, we knew that it was going to be the relaxed and intimate setting that they were looking for.  What better place than Andrea’s parents’ home to have their wedding.  There were golden wheat fields and quiet country roads around the home that we used for photos.  A gazebo was built especially for the ceremony and a large tent was set up in the backyard for the reception.  Andrea’s mother and stepfather really went all out to make the day perfect for Andrea & Jason.

Thank you Andrea & Jason for having us be a part of your day and your parents for inviting us to their home.

Stella + Peter Wedding

Stella & Peter Wedding

I was recommended to Stella & Peter through Stella’s cousin Daniel, whose wedding I also photographed this year.  It was really nice to see so many familiar faces at the wedding.  It’s been a very exciting and busy year for weddings in their family.

I had fellow professional photographer, Kevin Fung, help me cover the day’s events.  At Stella & Peter’s home in the morning, he photographed some relaxed portraits of the guys outside while I photographed the girls’ preparations inside.  Excitement was buzzing in the air, but I don’t think it really hit Stella until she finally put on her beautiful wedding gown and saw herself in the mirror.  She had a brief moment where she felt a little dizzy and short of breath, but her girls were quickly by her side to support her.  As is typical with most grooms we see, Peter was completed chilled and relaxed, waiting for the girls before heading downtown for the creative photo session with us.  The rest of the day went smoothly and Stella & Peter had an amazing day full of smiles and laughter.

Thank you Stella & Peter for having us be a part of your day.
